It’s Official !!! Battlefield is now on Mobile

Mobile devices have been getting more powerful with each iteration in recent years and mobile gamers sure stand to benefit. If someone would have told us a decade ago that we will be able to play AAA titles like Battlefield series on our mobile phone, I am sure only a handful of people would have believed. But strangely that’s reality now as EA has officially announced that this autumn, it plans to roll out a beta test for Battlefield Mobile for players in Indonesia and the Philippines.Here are more details.

The Beta is going to be for selected Android users:

This might be a bad for some as EA said that the beta will only be available on Android devices. They have been working on Battlefield Mobile since April,2021. This series of small playtests will be available to selected players only residing in the mentioned regions on devices running Android 7.0 or newer versions.

Final release will be free-to-play and will support more devices especially budget ones:

EA said that the beta might be compatible for limited devices but the public release will support a wider range of devices.Battlefield Mobile is set to launch in 2022. It will be free to play, though we will see in-app purchases. In order to experience smooth gameplay one will need a decent internet connection.

No support for cross platform:

The upcoming beta test will only feature a single map called Grand Bazaar and the Battlefield franchise’s signature Conquest game mode. EA said that the game is being specially designed for the mobile platform so it won’t support crossplay between console and PC versions of the title which is the most logical thing to do of course.

Pre-register for Battlefield Mobile to get the Early Access:

The game developer said that as testing continues, it would expand to newer regions and expand the size of the tests. EA might launch a specific page for pre-registrations for Battlefield Mobile in future. EA confirmed once the game is available in your region, you will be able to pre-register on the Google Play Store. Although we recommend you to check Tap Tap as well for the same.

When will regional beta start in India?

Right now the game is still in it’s earliest form possible and India is a huge market for mobile gaming so we can expect the regional beta in India after the game becomes more polished. Till then we can use VPN services to get access to the closed beta in other regions.
